How is bandsites so much more cost effective than a fully custom website?
With a fully-custom site, you’re typically looking at several months of branding, copywriting, wireframing, mockups, design, development, and project management. This lengthy process can certainly add up in cost (think 5-10k minimum for a small agency + large ongoing retainers), oftentimes leaving the client wishing there was a more efficient solution.
After years of experience and extensive research, we’ve discovered what bands and artists need in a website. We’ve made beautiful pre-built layouts designed to the same standards as major label artist websites. This allows for a streamlined workflow that gives you exactly what you’ll need right out of the gate.
Will my website look identical to several other websites?
Not at all! Bandsites will design your selected layout in a way that best serves your content and preserves your distinct brand. Additionally, your website will feature your fonts, colors, logos, and images. You will have a website that looks completely unique to you.
Will you supply assets for my website?
All written copy, images, and videos will be supplied by you. We will, however, provide you with an outline to easily upload all needed content.
Does my website come with a merch store?
Bandsites will link any third party merch store to your website. Some of our favorite third-party merch stores are Big Cartel and Shopify.
How fast will my website be built?
Your website will be built within two weeks of receiving all assets (photos, copy, links, logins, etc).
What happens if I go over the content update time for my pricing tier?
All content update time over your selected pricing tier will be billed at the rate of $200/ hour, charged in 15 minute increments. If you are consistently using more content update time than your pricing tier allocates for, we can easily move you up to the next tier.
What’s the difference bandsites and a service like wix, squarespace, or bandzoogle?
While there are some upsides to services like wix, squarespace, and bandzoogle, at the end of the day, you have to build and update the website yourself. Furthermore, when issues with things like CSS, DNS, C-Panels, and Name Servers pop up, you’re the one spending hours troubleshooting it.
When you work with bandsites, you’re partnering with a team with years of experience, always standing by ready to help. Our goal is to take your website off your plate so you can focus on what you do best.
Additionally, listed prices of services like Wix and Squarespace are generally base prices, meaning additional features that you want can cost more as you go. With bandsites, you’ll never have to worry about hidden costs.
What if I want features beyond the scope of my layout?
Features beyond the scope of “what’s included” are handled on a case-by-case basis and will likely come at an additional fee. Feel free to reach out and we’ll discuss what you’re looking for.
What pages are included with my website?
Your website includes a homepage with third party integrations and links to all socials.
I'm on social media, why do I need a website?
While there are many benefits to social media, at any give time, the social media platforms can change their algorithms or policies, potentially affecting your reach. With your website, you have full control, giving you a central platform to you showcase your music, connect with fans, and establish your brand in the way you desire.
Do you offer a rushed process?
All rushed builds (faster than two weeks from the time of receiving all assets) will be handled on a case-by-case basis and may come with an extra fee. If you’re needing a rushed build, feel free to reach out and we’ll see what we can make happen!
Does my website come with an electronic press kit (EPK)?
All customers on our enterprise and premium plans will have an EPK included for free with their website. For customers on our starter plan, an EPK will is available for a one-time fee of $299.
